Memorial Day

For Memorial Day we headed up to Park City. I couldn't resist taking a picture of this farm House with a big American Flag on it. I made Dana stop, the second time we passed it. Had we stopped the first time, I would have had the kids out walking the paths around it and taken way more pictures. Oh, well.
Dana and Cooper's feet while on the Alpine Coaster (way different from the slide... much more $$ but way better.) Don't notice the holes in Cooper's shoes, we did buy him new ones at the Nike outlet.

Dana and Erin

Cooper, Carly and Taylor

Over the river and through the woods to the Alpine Slide we go! Don't mind the blatant billboards in the trees, and don't forget to close your eyes while the slow moving chair lift takes you by the tree with unmentionables in it.

On the chair lift.

My two girls!

My Cooper... sporting his new summer hair-do.

1st Grade Program

Cooper and Gabe
Swaying to the music.

Saying I love you! (1st grade style)

And what first grader doesn't know "Fire Power."
You know its the end of the school year when you have programs, projects, and even more projects. This year's first grade program on manners was awesome. Mostly because it only lasted 20 minutes, allowing us time to get to Cooper's baseball game on time. (Yes, we have our priorties in order.) Thank-you teachers and Westfield 1st graders.

SPRING CLEANING (my memory card)

Highland City Easter Egg Hunt. The kids could only find three eggs and then had to hand them in for a bag of candy. It started at 9:00 a.m. They were home at 9:13.... Gotta love it!

Lone Peak High Spring Fling Dance. They were supposed to dress up as 70's, 80's or any decade. They decided '09 was the way to go. I thought they all decided to wear black and white. A great group!

You know it's almost Summer when the football is put away and the baseball, mit and bat all find their way to the back yard. Got to love My Boys of Summer.

Coug Fans vs Ute Fans

This past weekend we decided at the last minute to go to the BYU/Utah game in Provo. So, as you can see from the pictures, we got really bad seats. In fact we were seated right in the middle of a big sea of red. After an elderly gentleman convinced the Ute fans to sit down, they were not too bad... except for those abnoxious signs. We really got a kick out of the one that read, "Your loss is our plan of happiness." They also had signs reading, "Max Hall... Krueger is open... and a bunch of other utah football players that apparently intercepted Max's passes during the last football game. I had to ask... "This is basketball, isn't it." Dana was not impressed with their originality. In fact, towards the end of the game when it was obvious BYU was going to win, Dana wrote a note saying, "Now what's your plan of happiness." He really wanted to pass it to the girl with the red wig, but Taylor thought that would be too embarrassing. He held off on the note passing. Luckily BYU did win and we had a great time.

"How to Succeed in a Woman's Business"

Hey, just thought I would put a little plug in for my hubby, so you all don't think I'm a single mom with three great kids. If you're sitting in the Dr.'s Office this winter (and who isn't doing that these days?) Pick up Utah Valley Business Q and for our family members out of town, go to the link below and you'll find a little write up on Dana surviving and thriving in the scrapbooking world. It's on the last page, so I hope you have a long wait in the Dr.'s office. Just Kidding!

5 Generations

Carl Dille, Bernice Dille Goates, Erin Goff, Grandma Barbara Marie Eldredge, Taylor Goff (2 years old) 1994

When we moved into our new house I lost one very important box. It was a box of all my nondigital photos. I tore the basement apart looking for it and every couple of months would go looking for it again. Finally, I convinced myself that the box was gone. However, during the holiday break, while we were cataloging our food storage Dana found it. YEA! This 5 generation picture was one of the treasures inside. Also inside, photos of Carly's birth. Now, I have proof that she was not adopted.

I can't believe I actually wore that denim top with those flood/peg legged jeans. YIKES! But the best thing about this picture, is Grandma Eldredge's black eye. She told everyone she had gotten in a fight at the nursing home. She would hold up both fists and say, "You should see what the other guy looks like." We all knew she had fallen out of bed.

Moral of this story... Taking inventory of your food storage can bring many blessings. :)

4 Generations

Joseph Carl Dille, Grandma Bernice Dille Goates, Erin Jo Dille Goff, Carly Jo Goff, Cooper Goff

This past Saturday we drove up to Ogden to see Grandma Goates, who is in a care center, and my parents, who drove down from Idaho. We had the opportunity to take a 4 generation picture. What I love about this picture, is it reminds me about the importance of our names. I got my middle name, Jo, from my dad. He got his first name from his dad. And then we named Carly after my dad, Carl. We also continued the Jo traditition, giving her Jo as her middle name. She was supposed to be called CJ, but that never stuck. Then we switched to Carly Jo, but she didn't like that. So, she's just Carly now. Thanks Dad, Mom and Grandma for giving us a good strong name to keep in the family. :)
