Sweet 16! and Prom!

(I've really got to quit taking pictures in the entry way)
Taylor turned 16 last week so now she can date. So, how's prom for a first date. She went with a guy she's been friends with for a few years. She tells me they're still just friends. His name is Rio. They went with their other good friends, Whitney and Steven. I threatened to show up at the restaurant to spy on them. For their day date, they went to the park for a picnic. The boys brought lunchables, typical boys.

Dana's now a Scrapbooker!

Most of you already know this, but in mid February Dana started a new job as the VP of Finance and Operations for Close to My Heart, a direct sales scrapbooking company. Can I just say, he's loving it!! And so am I. Just one of the perks....on pay day, he gets to go to the company store and gets great deals on discontinued or damaged scrapbooking supplies. No family is allowed, so I have to educated Dana on what to look for. He also got to take a scrapbooking class one day. How weird was that, when he said, "Look what I did at work today." But best of all, we get to go on the sales cruise to the Mediterranean in October.

We are getting pounded here in Utah with a huge snow storm, so I thought I would remind those outside of Utah what you're missing. Unfortunately, we don't have any pictures of the slide-offs and snow shoveling, only the fun stuff.
While Melissa's family was here for a visit we hit the Soldier Hollow tubing hill, those that could also spent a day boarding at Snowbird. Thanks, Chad!
Taylor, had just gotten home from Hawaii, so she's had quite the climate shock. Cooper did not go tubing with us, because just days before on a knarley neighborhood hill, he hit a tree.... bending him backwards and throwing a boot off. Luckily, no broken bones, just a sore back and a bruised 5 year-old ego. But it did give him something to talk about. He's off the hills, at least for a few more days.

Dana wants to head south and soon. We don't know how much longer we can stand the snow and cold. Any takers in Arizona?

Peace in Park City

This Past weekend the kids had a few days off for Winter Break, so we went up to Park City for two nights. Most of you have probably been to the Alpine Slide, but they now have an Alpine Coaster. It's a lot like a roller coaster, but it's pretty cool riding up the mountain through the fall leaves, and then traveling 40 miles per hour down the mountain.

We all decided we liked this family picture, because Dana actually took off his sunglasses, and smiled with his teeth showing. I guess he had gotten over the shock of the coaster price. ($17.00 for one ride)

Cooper had to pick the biggest, messiest caramel apple.

Carly and Cooper had fun jumping on the trampoline. They feel so deprived that we don't have one at home. We gave it away after Carly broke her leg on it.

Fall 2007

Everybody has started school. Even Erin. Taylor is
loving the high school thing, Carly is in love with the fact that she is the oldest grade at her school, and Cooper is also liking kindergarten. Other than school we have just been up to the same old stuff. We will try to update this more when we have more time and get used to this. The Goffs
